Default Re: Reasons for moving out of TV

To get back to the topic, we met only one couple who were moving from TV back to where they had lived previously because he missed fishing. (I don't fish, so I didn't understand the issue.) We met them at their yard sale, and she was not happy about leaving....

I don't know why, but I am thinking of something completely unrelated (Hello Topicop...). We have a friend who will be 102 years old on November 4. She is the sweetest, most darling, warm, cheerful, loving, upbeat person I think I've ever met in my life; keep in mind that she is not only a widow but has outlived her daughter and is paralyzed and now living in a nursing home. At the big bash celebrating her 100th birthday, someone commented to me that Tillie "typifies the stereotypical 'sweet little old lady.'"

I disagreed, pointing out that Tillie is like this at age 100 because she was like this at ages 20, 40, 60, and 80 as well. And if Tillie were a miserable, whining, bitter, critical, judgmental, unhappy person at age 100, in all probability she was that way at ages 20, 40, 60, and 80 too.

I have no idea why this came to mind....
