Not only are they woefully incorrect, but I won't even divulge the truth...so as to save your already blatantly obvious insecurity.

If it makes you feel any better though, I have been in a bit of a slump golf-wise...and can no longer call myself a 'single-digit' player.

While I have recently just barely crept over that line, I have no doubt it will return...as will your massive insecurity when I tell you so.
