And the decision made by the president for internment was as much for the safety of the Japanese as for the Americans. It's easy for someone to Monday morning quarterback, WAY after the fact.

Yes, a submarine did attack California and lobbed 16 shells into an oil center, with little damage....but I again say that any FULL attack on the western edge of the USA would have required the entire Japanese fleet, which they were not willing to do.....plus the fact that there were STILL NO CARRIERS SUNK AT PEARL HARBOR. And, when we look at history, the standard is that we should learn from our mistakes.....not repeat them
