He has done a lot for vets, and is flat out a good and nice man. He earned more respect than you calling him a name.

I had the utmost respect for his Dad (and his Mom and wife), but not so much for him...especially after Iraq.
I thought he was a bit of a simpleton that was in over his head, but I will absolutely agree that I don't believe he had any real malice or meanness in him...so I will give you that.
And if this is true (no reason to doubt it)...my opinion of him has been raised.
