We try to understand things-SLAVERY-with our current code of morals.

We have been taught, INDOCTRINATED IN SCHOOL, about the evil of Slavery. I'm not trying to justify it. In fact my family did not come to the US until long after slavery was abolished.

During the period where the US, or what would become the US, had slavery there was also indentured servants-slavery for 14 years and the apprentice system-slavery for 7 years. There were no protections. You could and many did abuse indentured servants and apprentices.

Racial conflict in our country is truly sad. Sadly, while I did not vote for him, OBAMA was granted a unique opportunity to make things better. Instead he chose to fan sparks of racial conflict into forest fires. I TRULY WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD TO ADMIT I WAS WRONG NOT TO VOTE FOR OBAMA. SADLY, WHAT I SAW THAT MADE ME DECIDE NOT TO VOTE FOR HIM WAS ONLY THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG THAT HE IN SPITE OR HIS GREAT SKILL WAS UNABLE TO HIDE.
