There was no public discussion, just a decision by the Entertainment Dept director. BTW, Brownwood will keep their Saturday Farmer's Market throughout the summer with reduced hours, 9a to 1p.

Kinda of a kick in the face to the thousands of us who live here year round and enjoyed having the opportunity to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables. IMHO, it seems everything's going south, literally.

The Life Long Learning College was shut down because it was challenged by a lawsuit that would have upped the prices to where it really wouldn't have been easily affordable to most of us because we would have had to pay for deaf signers. Somebody didn't just say...We are going to stop this nice thing.

AND if you want to go to the Farmer's Market....drive to Brownwood.

Those folks with the carrots don't just want to stand there in the heat without making money. It isn't entertainment. It is their income. They pay for their booths.

It isn't about Everything's Going SOUTH , it is about real stuff that is happening and it is about the way things work.
