I am not particularly a follower of President Trump. Like you, I feel that he should always level with us and let us decide if we agree. Hopefully, he does do that with the ones there that he has to deal with on a daily basis. One of the things he did that I completely agree with, is his NOT overriding or even attempting to override the rejection of the new health care plan with his "pen and a phone". The concept of what he is trying to accomplish with healthcare is good, but not all the crap everyone tried to attach to it, much like they did with Obamacare. It's good that this time it is NOT going to be rammed down everyone's throat just because he wants it.

I very much would like to see a Congress where they ALL are willing to work for the good of all America instead of themselves. I, too, am guilty of not paying much attention to politics when I was younger. I wish I had, but that changes nothing. The young ones out there now being so brainwashed by our higher learning system is pathetic. This going on in our universities is nothing new. It was beginning to take a toehold in the 60's. I remember my mother telling me that it was. As a school nurse, she had to take x-number of college hours each year to stay in the school system and saw what was beginning to happen back then.

As for lying, no one can possibly hold a candle to Hillary Clinton on that one. She continually lied throughout her campaign and to the FBI about her private server and the use of it. As a mother of two retired Navy sons, I can feel nothing but contempt for her lying to the parents of their sons killed in Benghazi. That was bad enough, but to accuse them of lying about what she said is totally beyond wrong. Then for her, then President Obama, and Susan Rice to go before the American public and the world and continue to lie about it having to do with a video just to win an election can be nothing but wrong. Remember, when you watch someone on live television continue to perpetrate that same lie in their speeches/interviews, is anything but admirable. McCain is just as bad, if not worse, along with many of the others on both sides.

I did vote for Trump. Voting for anyone else, was simply a vote for Hillary. Do I agree with President Trump on everything? Absolutely not. Maybe he would not catch so much flak if he would just shut up occasionally. He really is in uncharted waters and would do well to pay more attention and learn. He is definitely not stupid. He just needs to talk to the American people the same as he does with those in the one-on-one meetings. He needs to buckle down and realize that this is not a reality show. Sometimes he does; just not nearly enough.

The reason you get "about Clinton and Obama" is because Obama was the former President, totally anything but honest and transparent, and Clinton because she was the only other opponent with any chance of winning. Her only care/concern was in becoming the first female to ever be elected President, even if it meant buying off and stealing the nomination from Sanders.

I still think it is only fair to give President Trump the same chance that President Obama got for not one, but two terms. I was willing to give President Obama a fair shake. He blew it. I have no problem with a black/half black/Hispanic or female President. Unfortunately, the wrong one got elected; fortunately, the wrong female did not. Many, many countries have female leaders and always have and have proven themselves many times over.

Until we clean up our politics as we know it right now, not much is likely to change. Congress needs to be reminded that they are there to do a job FOR us, not ON us. WE are their employers, and as in any other job, you don't do it then you get fired! Until we take the money out of politics and quit shutting out all Americans except the wealthy, I fear not much will change. Just like the politicians, we need to consider what is good for our country, not just our own little corner of it. Money has destroyed so much in our country. I have no problem with people being rich, kudos to them for what they have. My problem comes with their takeover of politics, unions, etc. I grew up in a Democrat family. My parents always voted a straight ticket. That was the Democratic Party of old. Unions then represented the worker until someone figured out they could use it for their own personal cash cow. That is when the worker ceased to exist except for paying into that cow.

President Kennedy had it right when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." Sadly, both parties have chosen to ignore those wise words.
I think the single most important thing in your reply was your recognition of an attempt to be civil. I have become much more aggressive recently because so many feel a smart as response like an "endearing" nickname, changing GUEST to a demeaning name or totally avoiding real issues has hardened me.

In any case, we will have to "agree to disagree" on your comments relative to Obama and Clinton. While there may have been untruths from both on some topics, they are not in office. I objected very strongly to most of Obama policies but in time of emergency, or crisis, I believed him, and he was never shown to lie. I do not have that feel at all with our current President. If the truth will, in any way, show HIM PERSONALLY in anything but a positive light, he will shun the truth. He has DONE THAT ALREADY.

But, "agreeing to disagree" on Clinton or Obama is not a big deal as they are not in office at all and not relevant, except...

I suspect so many votes were cast as anti Clinton or anti Obama instead of FOR anything, and I understand that. Of course, my objection was the primary.

But, water over the damn....none should allow our current President to lie to us...not address policy (something I hope congress will pressure), use a news network as a source for foreign policy, PUBLICLY demean (and I will miss some) England, the Queen, head of state of Germany, his own intelligence community, and that is partial in addition to accusing PUBLICLY the ex President, and many others of feloni, and that list is partial. All while praising Russia and now Turkey, two countries that has substantial Trump business ties. Ther is PART of my problems.

I agree with you on health care, and hope he stops threatening Americans he will pull the rug, get smart, be a man and talk to democrats, NOT ABOUT ANYTHING BUT HEALTH CARE COSTS FOR ALL ANERICANS, no cute names like Obama care, just go to work and find a way. I agree with many things he has said. I just reviewed his entire life, and find it so troublesome to believe.

Thanks to you for your civility. Refreshing on here where one liners or general condemnation of anyone who does not bow to Trump is the norm.
