Last week on Mallory my husband had his sixth hole in one.
Years ago I was in the foursome when he hit a blind shot over a heavy growth of woods on a dogleg par four.
The guys would take risky shots sometimes when we went out early. They let me play because I didn't get in much trouble, kept my mouth shut and enjoyed their company. I certainly didn't hit long but the short tees helped me keep up.
Anyway on that day we found his ball in the hole. Granted a couple holes in one here in The Villages have been on Par three short courses.
This one last week was Mallory, Virginia Course Number seven, Nine iron. I wish I could have seen it. He so loves golf and he has worked so many long hours over all of these years it makes me so happy to see him doing what he so enjoys.
If you run into him, pound him on his back and tell him his wife is proud of him.
