We were very disappointed in most of the country club restaurants this season, including Lopez. The food is mediocre, as is the service. It is most disconcerting that bread is not available at Evans Prairie and that the lobster on Monday nights at Lopez is rubbery and the restaurant on nights that we dined there, was so hot, we were all sweating while eating dinner. Did we complain to the management? Yes. The response was we are doing our best and we're sorry the a/c isn't working tonight. No-one told us that when we arrived. We never thought it would happen more than once, and upon inquiry with regard to the a/c when we made subsequent reservations, we were told everything was working well. That was not the case.

I sometimes wonder whether the TV restaurants take for granted that their customers will always be there because they have in essence, a captive clientele. It is too bad there isn't more and better competition.
