Default Harvard graduation for BLACKS only

Harvard to hold graduation ceremony for black students only

Some of the comments:

Yup, #$%$ America. Disgusted to even live in this country. I get demonized because I'm white even though I go out of my way to help everyone in need. An these universities incubating this divide and conquer/victim hood culture. Who ever thinks its okay to hold a ceremony for only black kids should be disbarred from that school. If I asked for a white only ceremony I would be called racist and a piece of #$%$. #$%$ your political correctness, and #$%$ your one race ceremony. #$%$.

You know, I wouldn't mind. At my son's college graduation, I didn't hear his name called out because of all of the disrespectful whooping, hollering, and screaming done by a certain segment of the population. Setting aside a special graduation ceremony for the b lacks would at least allow everyone else to enjoy a pleasant, dignified ceremony.

So are they going to have black only rest rooms, drinking fountains and lunch counters too? Will there be a special black only space reserved in the back of public transport? That's... progress? SMH

I'm Vietnamese American, we want an Asian only ceremony too. Just kidding, we can make it on our own, we don't need any dam special treatment.

Perfect, now all they have to do, is, get rid of Affirmative Action, and there will be no black students that can pass the entrance exam. Problem solved!!!

what a croc! "told The Root that the ceremony is "an opportunity to celebrate Harvard's black excellence and black brilliance."" Yes. BLACK brilliance. What if someone tried to do the same with whites only? ANd build white brilliance. Think anyone would call that racist? Absolutely! ANd THIS sentence that he follows it up with "He stressed that the event is not about segregation but about "building a community." is totally wrong. It IS about segregation. Totally. It is about building BLACK community. If it was not racist, it would try to build a community of ALL people, not BLACK people. That, be definition, is racist, as it is defining an event for one race. They can't SEE that?

Fine let them have a whites only ceremony as well then. Yeah I bet that would go over real well. So basically it's ok for blacks to be exclusive and racist but not anyone else. Thanks for the heads up.

They say this isn't segregation, but it sure looks like it. It's just like the black students at other institutions who demand separate buildings just for them. Is MLK, Jr. turning over in his grave? You cannot have it both ways. You are either a part of this country or you're not. You want to be treated equally, yet your demands resonate as being racist because you still want to be separate from the rest of the US society.

The hypocrisy and denial that permeates within the black population reaches pinnacle levels being both comical and disgustingly pathetic and sad
