Based on known facts, I do not believe we are at the impeachment stage.

Remember, the courts give great sway to the office of Presidet. The President cannot even be indicted. This action must come from the House, where there is needed a majority, and then 2/3 of the senate. It is not easy to impeach.

However I do agree that if he sees the "handwriting" on the wall, he will find a way to quit and blame everyone else but himself.

Impeachment is not a thought because congress would love to, if they can pass legislation, and actually the results of the 2018 election may have an impact.
