It would have much better for the public had an Independent Committee vis a vis Special Prosecutor been appointed to investigate the alleged Trump-Russia. the public will be left in the dark as the Special Prosecutor goes about his investigation in secret. At the end of the investigation there will be an announcement of an indictment or the lack of evidence . And even if there was contact between Trump and Russia while it may be a terrible thing it is a criminal thing.

it would also be helpful if the public understood the tone in which Trump allegedly asked Comey to back off the Russian investigation because this is a question that goes to intent.

However, with an independent committee the public would have been afforded more access to what actually happened.

Either way I am glad and sad that the issue is being investigated. glade because if it is true we have a right to know. Sad because if it is just political theater the voter is being short changed.

and like other people one wonders why Obama, clinton, Lynch, Holder were not investigated? never mind that is a rhetorical question.
