That's how "government" works..."government" is a facade the wealthy/powerful set up to benefit themselves and the corporations they run. Many...all?...high level positions in government are either bought or assigned...depending on their importance to "the system". High ups in government become high ups in business and vice versa. Even the "elected" positions are a fraud, are fixed from the start. Whom did you "elect"? Those who were PLACED in front of you. To the "system", for those in charge who owned them all...it didn't matter WHICH of "their guys" we chose...they ALL work for them.

We did a horrible thing...we created a gender who collectively suffer from delusion...the delusion that they are equals to men. We created a race/races who suffer from the same delusion...the delusion that they are equal to white people. THAT is where we failed...everyone should NOT get a trophy...maybe next time they'll try just a little harder...and IMPROVE. That's what affirmative action and quotas did...it DESTROYED the motivation to improve. America has languished, it's gone from #1 to #25. We are literally devolving socially as we devolve into a 3rd world majority. White people keep/kept thing afloat...we are sinking because too many minorities are trying to climb aboard...when the number reaches a tipping point...the ship WILL founder...taking us all with it. Times WILL get very ugly. This time ISN'T different...it's how it ALWAYS ends.

You're "progressive"...meaning socialist, communist, we ALL share and share alike, everyone has equal worth...because you're a woman. MOST liberals are women and MOST "conservatives" are men. It's our brains...we DO have different wiring...we DO think VERY differently.
