The winter rental (snowbird) season starts in October and kicks into high gear in January and ends in April. So March would be in the peak of high season, most rentals in TV are going for $3500 or more per month at that time. September would still be the off season and possible rentals for as low as $800 - $1000 for say a patio villa.
September is also a great time for visiting the theme parks in Orlando. School is back in session, the snowbirds haven't arrived, and the summer heat isn't quite as bad.
