I met Tiger and his father once at Stanford. It was not a pleasant experience. His father controlled everything, even who Tiger could talk to and what he could eat. This was a young, talented athlete in college -- a time when young men should be learning to grow by their mistakes and the mistakes of others. It did not seem that Tiger was ever taught how to relate to other people. He was taught how to play golf and make money. Once his father's control was gone, Tiger had to learn the finer points of being human. Sadly, I think this is still a work in progress.

I hope he gets through his latest mess without too much damage. I hope his golf game comes back. Most of all, I hope he finds to have a happy and full life.
