I think we waste far too much money on these facilities---all you really need is 3 barb wire fences, machine gun towers and a mine field. Live in barracks, grow your own food. If it was good enough for our soldiers who were captured in WWII, it certainly is good enough for violent criminals.

That is why I phrased it as "so called reform" which does nothing but reward the bad guys for their crimes at the expense of taxpayers. Some of the US prisons are like country clubs! It is even more ludicrous in so called "progressive" countries.. Convicts don't pay for their crimes yet their victims and taxpayers do!
