I am fifty- one and bought a beautiful site built 2 bedroom designer home in the "historic district". My neighbors are older but who cares? They are really nice, friendly people and age makes no difference. People socialize regardless of age- in fact, even though I am one of the youngest in the neighborhood people have accepted and welcomed me.
There are a number of manufactured homes but there are quite a few site builts as well here in Country Club Hills. I believe this was the last of the 3 Villages to be built in the historic side so that may explain why we have more site built homes in this area than the other 2 Villages over here.
Anyway, I'm sure you'll be happy wherever you decide to buy but my advice is to look at many different area and see which one "feels like home".
