THANK YOU ALL who have responded to my questions; I now have a more clear picture of what to expect when I finally get to visit TV. I will definitely explore the historic area because it sounds lovely and there are probably some CBS built homes which have replaced the older manufactured homes (maybe).
I'm sure ALL homes in TV are built to code, it's just a personal preference for me, having lived in Miamil-Dade County when Hurricane Andrew came to visit in 1992, and having experienced the aftermath ; I would be a fulltimer at TV, and it would be a comfort to me living in a CBS home during hurricane season.
