Bonny, we moved here from Provincetown (which is where the Pilgrims landed--forget the Plymouth Rock nonsense: it's a rock the size of a bushel basket). In Provincetown, there are prominent signs showing fines for locking a pet in a car. And more than one window was broken by concerned dog lovers.
Our dog Abby is a rescue, and we could not have asked for a better pet.
One day, I returned from chorus rehearsal and my husband told me he had taught Abby a new trick. He tapped the sofa, and she jumped right up. I said, oh, that must have been difficult to teach!
