Yes, this is very true. The flu virus and vaccine have been talked about within the circles of Vets, AKC, local and national dog clubs. If you didn't get enough information from the article you can also go to U Tube and look up dog flu virus 2017. Vets will talk about it, and what to do, including the symptoms. Yes, the number 1 toy dog fell ill to this in Florida just recently.
As the paper states, many of these incidents go unreported, and the vets aren't allowed to give out statistics to the public Walgreen's is vaccinating pets at Colony and maybe other places with Walgreen's as well, this SATURDAY. go TO SHOTVET.COM. NOT SURE if you need to sign up or just show up. Ask the manager of the store. That's July 15th shots for your dogs and vaccinations, if you can't wait for weeks to get an appt. at Buffalo Ridge or elsewhere.
Keep your dogs OUT OF THE DOG PARKS UNTIL further notice.
