YES, THIS disease is also airborne, and if you go to a park and a dog starts coughing, it is highly contagious. Also there is fever and other issues. I stopped taking my dog to the park, when I noticed undisciplined behavior with aggressive dogs. The neighborhood walks are good, but it is airborne, and all it takes is some visiting unsuspecting dog from out of state or renter, to make your life and your pets a living hell for 30 days.
I have an acquaintance, who had one dog sick, an had diarrhea, vomiting and fever for almost 3 weeks with IV's. $5,000 later the dog survived, instead it could have had the $28 shot + booster. We are learning from others. She new of others at kennels that are showing that died. It's not talked about or hushed up in some circles. Please get your dog vaccinated!
