We see things totally and completely different, and what best illustrates that is your comment on two things.
You sort of shrug off Trump's lying as ordinary politics. I see it so much differently because he is lying daily as President of the United States and doing it chronically on important issues. I know the Times and a few others track his lies on a daily basis, and it is voluminous. And you cannot even find any politician in any position, let alone the President, who ever ever in history has lied so much about substantial issues....the entire world watches and listens.
On the media, I propose until you prove otherwise....Trump has manipulated you and his followers to believe he is getting a raw deal from the media. He is the President...what he says and does is news, they report what he says and what he does. They report it honestly and he calls it unfair. How does that work ? He accuses a President of a felony but they should ignore that ? Many other examples and the media reports it...that is and has always been their job.
Frustrated that you think the media reporting FACTUALLY is considered "terrible press coverage". He makes he news, they report it. You seem to feel that they should allow him to pick of what he says or does, AND FRANKLY THAT IS HIS GOAL. It appears to be working. You can think things like what is happening with the daily briefings (eliminating have White House on tape), and total absence of press conferences are minor. They are steps.....he seems to have you convinced.
Again, I challenge you to present a news report, not commentary, that is inaccurate. He does it or says it...they report it.

I agree. And regarding the economy, it is likely business is picking up because of all the growth that happened during the Obama administration. We know that many companies had committed to increased hiring prior to Trump taking office. According to Factcheck.org, many announcements about job creation fit a year's long trend. To be sure, many business leaders are encouraged by his "promises" to cut business regulations, and that may cause businesses to grow in the future should those promises turn out to be real. But as for the recent spate of announcements made by companies such as Ford, GM and others, experts and officials from the companies themselves warn not to assign too much credit to Trump.
