In Solace AH is a GOOD guy, retired FBI with an innate 'talent'. Heartily recommend the film esp if you are a AH fan. Really do not understand the 'bad' reviews on RT and such.

His best, IMO, is still Silence of the Lambs...of course. Gold standard.
Silence of he Lambs is in my top 10, it's one of those films if you see it on TV, you have to stop and watch the rest. Since SOTL is favorite, then you must have seen Manhunter, which was the prequel released in 1986. It featured Brian Cox as Hannibal Lecter and the two FBI agents who are the main stars are William Petersen of CSI fame and the late Dennis Farina. With it's 80's release and Petersen movie resident on Sanibel Island, it's got that Miami Vice feel and MV director Michael Mann did this film as well. It's very slick and moves fast, I've seen it about a dozen times. If "In a Gadda da Vida" is one of your favorite songss, then you'll like this one.

Manhunter is shown on the premium channels all the time, but since it wasn't a big release they decided to remake the film with AH as Hannibal and released it in 2002 in a film called Red Dragon. Edward Norton, who I like a lot, played the Petersen character and I thought did a horrible job of acting and Harvey Keitel as the Farina character as his boss was totally miscast. I thought the movie was a complete mess.

If you have seen Manhunter and became a William Petersen fan from it like I did. Then you should see "To Live and Die in LA" with William Petersen from 1985, I never watched CSI so Petersen was all new to me. TLADIL is on the movie channels quite a lot. It has a terrific car chase sequence, like going down the interstate the wrong way. Willem Dafoe is the bad guy, and he's usually good at that. It's another film that I've seen ten times.
