Watched this movie last night using Amazon Prime.
My husband and I rate movies using a 1-5 scale, 1 being terrible. I rated it a 2, and he rated it a 3. If not for the depressing topic and language, I probably would have rated it a 5.
It stars Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams and Kyle Chandler. A description of the movie can be found here:
Manchester by the Sea (2016) - IMDb, but doesn't nearly describe how dark and depressing it is.
The movie starts out slowly and makes you wonder where it is going. Until the phone call. Background is shown in flashbacks.
The acting is wonderful, and dropping the F bomb is routine. Made me want to start on antidepressants.
