This list alone is more than you can see in "a few days."

Of the things that others have listed, I would endorse going to Mt. Vernon, and if you had time to travel that far, Monticello.

I found Monticello particularly interesting because of the artifacts displayed from the Lewis & Clark expedition, including one of the diaries.
