If people don't like the law, then they should lobby to change it, but as long as it exists, it is the duty of the federal government to enforce federal laws.

This proposal has NOTHING to do with the requirements of changing the requirements to become a citizen, it is ONLY changes the requirements to get a green card to enter the country.
How many early immigrants, do you think already knew English when they first came here...versus learning it as a goal of becoming a naturalized citizen?
