We do not have them. Like any other purchase, people who do have them will tell you that you must; after all that is the decision that they made.
We've had plenty of rain this month, how well does your property drain the water? If, you installed leaders and gutters where would you drain the water? You cannot for example effect your neighbors property and most people do not have large vacant land.
RE: Basement
I sorely miss mine. Teasing but here a basement would be an indoor swimming pool. .
