Re: Swimming Pools in TV
Odell and Amelia pools, for example, are neighborhood pools and are generally just square rectangles. The pools at Orange Blossom, Glenview, Mallory, etc. are country club pools and each generally has a theme or special ambience to them, as well as being much larger than the neighborhood pools. OB is known for its Tiki Bar, Glenview pool is in the shape of a tennis racket with a Jacuzzi as a handle; etc. Anyone can go to the neighborhood pools. Country club pools are restricted to those with a priority membership. If you buy a golf priority membership, it includes the use of the country club pools. If you don't golf and don't buy that membership, you can purchase a priority pool membership, which is $200 for a single, or $260 for a couple.
The one thing I wasn't crazy about regarding the country club pools is that they allow children (at least the Mallory pool does, don't know about the other CC pools). Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but just not everytime I go to a pool, particularly in the high season - Feb - April. My opinion, is that for what I pay for the golf priority membership($740/couple for 6 months) is that I shouldn't have to put up with screaming kids at the country club pools. There are plenty of neighborhood pools that cater to kids, and you know the kids aren't residents, but guests. Just doesn't make sense to me, but that's the way it is.
