I agree with the first part of your statement regarding the chances of a terror attack in TV,
but let's not forget that we forced tens of thousands of people of Japanese descent (many of whom were US citizens) into "internment" camps for the duration of WWII. Just sayin' we didn't defeat Japan without exhibiting some local paranoia too.
