We are very, very vulnerable-remember a terror attack happened in Orlando- 1 hour away
Have you priced bollards? Especially the ones embedded in the ground to resist a moving vehicle?

$500 to $1,500 EACH is not unusual. And, for vehicle protection they must be spaced so close together that a vehicle cannot drive between them.

Now, plan positioning them for each approach to a Town Square. But wait! That's not enough. The last few attacks in Europe have involved vehicles driving down the pedestrian sidewalk for one or two blocks. Bollards along all the sidewalks around and approaching the squares? And, at the movie theaters.

Starting to see the dollar signs mount up?

How much increase are you willing to see added to your amenities fees to pay for all this? Or perhaps it could be paid for by a new bond assessment on every house in The Villages.

Not to mention the unsightly appearance of bollard everywhere.
