Sometimes I think a simple sheath with sleeves and some dressy Ferragamo flats are all you need for many occasions. Simple, elegant jewelry, a good handbag and easy hair finish the ensemble. People will spend more time looking at the bride. After 50, I'm not sure how many people are even looking at us. If we look frightful they might, but overall just looking classic and understated serves you well. I'm to the point where a moo-moo may be more flattering than a sheath, but you get the general idea of the look I would go for.
