Also, I have seen signs prohibiting trucks at the squares. A truck would stick out like a sore thumb.
That's a good point about the parked cars and golf carts around the square, you can't find a spot to park once the band starts, so how can a terrorist drive a vehicle into the square.

Although I have to say, people sometimes let their stupidity get ahead of their curiosity. About 3 years ago I was at LSL and one of the good bands was playing and it was high season and the place was packed. A brand new Chevrolet either a Cruze or Malibu, or similar was on the street stopped at the light between City Fire and the first beer hut. For some reason the car caught on fire, and you would not believe the crowd that gathered, very closely I would say to the car. I'm standing over by Johnny Rockets, far enough away I felt safe and with probably 100 people between me and the car. I'm thinking any minute the gas tank is going to blow and there is some guy trying to get his suit cases and stuff out of the trunk and back seat. The flames are very hot, and within a minute a fire truck is pulling up and douses the car without the gas tank blowing. Just another day at The Villages.
