Yes, I know about the Barcelona attack and wouldn't feel uncomfortable visiting there. I know about the London and Paris attacks and feel the same. September 11th still troubles me and I admit would not feel at ease being in Manhattan at an time. Too many people, too many buildings with no egress other than tunnel or bridge. I can't afford my own helicopter and pad.
