I think Wiotte is right.
About what? First, although I don't think this thread is ridiculous, I don't personally feel that the odds of attack merit any of the proposed solutions, at least, not at this particular time (who knows what the future may hold). As far as his second statement regarding paranoia not being normal, by its very definition, his statement is superfluous. But, most importantly, to link paranoia to persons who conceal carry and call them "absolutely nuts" is not even worthy of an intelligent retort to such delusional thinking! He should be so lucky as to never need the courage and foresight of a permit holder when his life may be in peril!
Lastly, what some folks view as paranoia, some others view as situational awareness, a skill set which could keep one around longer to enjoy the fruits of one's labor ... just sayin'

Well, you are just confirming my thoughts. I don't spend my days thinking that someone is out to harm me. That in and of itself is paranoid thinking. Any civilian that feels the need to conceal carry because of some unspecified threat they think they will encounter is as I said before is nuts. Just plain nuts to carry a weapon. To have such a state of mind is completely foreign to me. That may or
may not be an intelligent answer for you, I really don't care. Live or think anyway you want.
