I don't feel the need to be armed. No one in my house does either. However I do support the right to do so, because real dangers change and change quickly. I feel safe here in The Villages and have felt safe all of my life in Ohio. But when the bad guys have guns, I feel rather good knowing that almost all of my neighbors have guns and know how to use them. Now just to stay on the right side of my neighbors.
