Default Re: The Quest for the Dress

Boomer--both dresses are gorgeous! I don't know why it always seems the selection is so much improved after I no longer need the dress...but you have certainly found the perfect styles. Can't wait to see a photo!

On the shoe question--I struggled too, but ended up with a pair of very simple silver ballet flats. I was wearing my long skirt and probably would have opted for mid-height heels had I worn knee-length that day--but I still would have gone with a metallic. I just have a hard time finding dyes-to-match that are truly comfortable.

I have had very good luck with both www.zappos.com and www.shoemall.com and www.dsw.com (no, I don't have a closet full of shoes, ladies--just have flat feet with bunions and have to be selective ). All these sites offer huge selections in just about every brand you can name, free shipping AND free returns--seriously, you just pack the shoes back in the original box and print out a label and drop them off at a UPS site at no cost to you. I search by color, heel height, and size; order online (the shoes typically arrive within 3 days); try them on in the comfort of my own home; and return what doesn't work. It could not be easier. Zappos also features customer reviews of each shoe, and I have found most to be extremely helpful and valid.

With regard to a photo of me in my dress--will do when my daughter receives the DVD of all wedding photos. Thanks for asking to see it.
