Hubby and I were seasonal in TV for several years. We did not own a golf cart and only had one car for the three months per year we were in TV. That worked very well for us so we knew when we became full time here in TV that one car would be just fine for us.

We are full time now in TV and have one car and one golf cart. It has worked so well for us. When the golf cart goes in for service, Gordon's gives us a loaner. Lexus will give us a loaner car if we need to leave the car over night for service. Other than that, I can't think of a reason why we would need two cars. Now that I've said that in writing, I'm sure the time will arise.

There are guys who own trucks and there are truck guys, I'm the latter. Owning a truck not only gives me mobility but also self sufficiency for any task I may want to do. Hauling, towing, off roading etc. and pickup trucks have the highest residual value of any vehicle out there. Why ? Because they are so useful and never go out of style.
Full disclosure, I'm not your typical Villager. I do for myself and never hire anyone, for anything. Never have, never will.
