There are some great suggestions and recommendations in these notes. Have been through 3 hurricanes in Southern Florida and some of these are great ideas. A potential problem is molds from water and there are dishes in Home Depot or Lowes you can use to determine if there is mold and if it is good or bad mold? Taking pictures of the inside of your home is a great suggestion. If you have water in the house ServPro is a great company to repair that. Another idea is that if you have things you really want to protect, (e.g.picures, wills, deeds, etc.) you may consider putting them in the washing machine whicih is typically sealed.
