Liberals ( the left) are good at radicalizing their troops , getting in lockstep and surrounding their wagons around anyone they view as vulnerable.

Its why they were so shocked that Hillary lost the election. The problem was the intelligentsia was telling them that no matter what Hillary could not lose. So confident were they with this thought that even when Bernie Sanders was pulling in front of Hillary the DNC conspired to block his assent. The first problem was she was a horrible candidate with no genuine bona fides and a lot of excess baggage.

The second problem eventually became obvious that the intelligentsia believing they could never be wrong did not understand what was stirring Americans. Other than the coastal cities most Americans rejected the social/cultural liberal agenda nd believed America was going in the wrong direction . This included Republicans, Independents and Democrats who, while not enamored by Trump believed he would be the agent of change.

Well, despite his ruff edges, or perhaps because of them he is making headway. His problem is 1) Democrats obstruction 2) weak spine Republicans.

His move with Nancy and Chuck was notice to GOP that they better stiffen their spines and they better get behind his agenda because either way he is going to move forward.
