Plans for a pet's safety should have been in place days ago especially if folks live in a modular home. Many of my friends who live in manufactured homes have left to go to another place that is safer. This is a retirement community. How old is elderly? Many older people are quite independent and not frail and pitiful. Most of us have pets. We have planned as to what to do if the windows are compromised as we don't want our kitties to get out. We can't have everything perfectly safe so we must do the best we can. Many people do not feel comfortable around pets, they must be thought about as valuable too when in comes to shelters.

If one thinks that a church should open as a shelter, one should be prepared to volunteer to help at that church. Good things do not happen by magic.

As our daughter Helene often says...We can't have every thing we want in this world.
