We dodged a bullet here with this monster storm. It's comforting living in the center of the state where the hurricanes have a tendency to peter out by the time they get here. I'm very thankful we didn't have tornadoes in the area to cause lots of damage.
See my OP about "It's time to start trimming the palm fronds". What in the hell are those things good for except to be unsightly, become dangerous projectiles when the wind blows and harbor pests? NOTHING. It's time for TV to spend some coin and keep the palms trimmed.
