How can so many shingles come off with way less than 110 that we experienced here in The Villages. Something was not done right IMO.

This may help explain . I had a expert look at my roof after a hail loss. I lived in MN . To my surprise the siding was damaged by hail but not the roof. However the expert told me the shingles were defective. The only contact I had was with the builder ho referred me to a phone number in Pa (Certainteed)
I argued with them by phone and mail for 2 years, until they finally showed up at my home looked at only the garage portion of the house.
The representative said nothing wrong with my roof. I told him the expert I hired stop counting bad shingles after 300. I explained the roof was warranted for 30 years. He said shingles only last for 15 years and their stats showed that people move about every 7 years. I told him a judge would be interested in hearing that. I also learned that they lied to me by telling me they did not have representation in MN. In fact that had a mfg plant 8 miles from my house.
I sued them pro se. They called complaining that they did not want to send an attorney to defend this case. they offered to repair my roof. i refused told them their shingles were junk and they finally relented and settle. I also learned they had been in a class action suit over these exact shingles and it was the reason after two yeas they sent a rep to my home.
In short don't let the shingle mfg jerk you around
