According to an ongoing temperature analysis conducted by scientists at NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), the average global temperature on Earth has increased by about 0.8° Celsius (1.4° Fahrenheit) since 1880. Two-thirds of the warming has occurred since 1975, at a rate of roughly 0.15-0.20°C per decade. This rate is over a 42 year period, and such temperature changes, historically, according to ice core samples taken in Antarctica, would normally take 10,000-20,000 years.
So, what is apparent is that the massive use of fossil fuels by man has actually made a tremendous acceleration of a natural cycle.

A warmer atmosphere is able to hold more water vapor, and thus, when it rains, there are more violent and productive storms. The Earth's ground temperature also rises, causing any moisture in the ground to evaporate and cause drought in those areas. Forest areas experiencing drought condition are more suseptible and vulnerable to fires, and other lands, once able to produce crops, can become too dry to sustain their growth.

This is NOT a political point, this is SCIENCE that has been proven and the threat that global warming has also been recognized by.....wait for it.....the US Military! which sees it as a viable THREAT to the security of the USA.

Perhaps you should start reading actual science instead of relying upon political talking points based in your ignorance.
