Not unless someone recorded
sustained winds of at or over 74 MPH.
Irma hit Tampa as a Category 4, and was probably a weak Category 1, at most, when it got to The Villages. As I have said, contact with the ground slows down wind.
There's hardly a better place to be in Florida during bad weather than The Villages.
