They had to toss it. Hot food for immediate consumption must be kept at 135 degrees or above. Cold food must be kept at 40 degrees or below. For storage, my refrig is set at 33-34 degrees the freezer is at -5 degrees.
It's really a pity it couldn't be used but they did what they had to do under the circumstances.
