But, I do not believe that Powell purposely lied to us regarding their being WMDs in Iraq. If he received faulty intelligence (IF) then he did not lie. A lie requires the element of an intent to deceive.
Some folks on here distort and pervert the English language. I am no expert, but I do know how to use the dictionary. Too bad, many on here would rather misuse words radically in an attempt to "prove" their point of view.

So you don't KNOW how they died. There are mass graves all over the middle east...they kill each other...just like the inner city minorities...they're violent...uncivilized.
A bunch of decomposed bodies and a signed original document are two different things.
Now you're getting it...you had to take someone elses word for it...you rely on "his-story" which is OFTEN wrong. "His-story" is mostly propaganda.
And I DO believe he purposely lied...to get us into a war. I also believe they let Pearl Harbor happen to get us into WWII. The Gulf on Tonkin was a lie to get us into Vietnam. They do the SAME THING over and over...to get us involved in wars.

The operative words are "did not find". what we will never know is if they were there, did Saddam move them across the border to Syria?
Two WSJ articles over the years report that that is what some believe and point to events that would validate such an event.
The saddest thing about the "WMD"issue is it has become totally political and hence creates more mistrust and less a motivation to determine the how and the why, and consequences that an active military engagement can least afford

Yes...we will never know because nothing was found. Don't you think our surveillance would have seen the WMDs being ferried out of the country? Don't you think we'd have seen them burying them? Or is out intelligence gathering abilities also a lie?
The saddest thing about it...is it was all a lie to get us into a ME war.
