Long before the Constitution was ratified, President John Adams wrote “An Essay on Man's Lust for Power,” in which he argued that “democracy will soon degenerate into an Anarchy.”

Treasury Alexander Hamilton claimed that the “very character” of ancient democracies was far from absolute freedom — it was “tyranny.”

The Founding Fathers knowing what they did about the fate of democracies, created a democratic republic. “The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,” reads Article IV, Section 4.

This is why we do not recognize the popular vote in the presidential election. Two words, anarchy and tyranny.

Time for the grieving to end and the protesting to cease. Time for the winners to move forward unhindered and the losers to lick their wounds and figure out how to be constructive in making Americans proud again. Quit tearing our country apart and quit allowing yourselves to be led around by gossip and false accusations.

Or, just keep acting the fool and airing your country's dirt in public.

When you all support mindless Hollywood actors, you are just making them richer. It does nothing to help your position in life and it does nothing to bring our country together.

Who cares about Hollywood birthdays? They are NOT royalty, no matter how much you wish that of them. They are high paid court jesters that are being paid to entertain and have no other value.
When the founding fathers began crafting the Articles of Free they looked to ancient civilizations forms of government and in particular Greece which was a democracy and Rome a Republic. They came to recognize that the eventual end of a democracy is anarchy and chose as their model the Republic of Rome.

It is one of the reason when people speak of concern for this nation they compare what is happening to what caused the rise and fall of Rome.

Today's American is doing an excellent job of mimicking Rome's problems including the corruption , decadence and having mercenary armies to defend it.

smarter people would take heed?
