Default Homeowners Insurance in the wake of Irma-Report Card

The purpose of this thread is to provide reviews of your specific insurance--the good, the bad, the ugly.

We are thinking of switching to State Farm despite the fact that they are significantly more expensive that our current policy. This thread isn't to compare price, necessarily, but service.

I'll start. Has anyone who had a claim used State Farm homeowners? Your experience during Irma?

We currently have Cabrelli Coastal purchased through The Villages Insurance. We had no claim. Some others have mentioned that their companies reached out to them with an email/phone call right away. We heard nothing from Cabrelli. This doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't react appropriately had we had a claim. We just don't know. But, clearly, not warm and fuzzy. They are highly rated. Did anyone with a claim deal with them?

So....please post your homeowners insurance company and your opinions of how they responded when you filed a claim. I think this will help all of us with future insurance decisions.
