If that is your answer to what I said, then you are a brain dead idiot. It is not my fault that you are disenchanted with your retirement. I do not need to hold onto any "glory days" as all I did was my job. Nothing more than any other patriot would do. I do not belong to any veterans organizations and I have never been to the wall to see those that I knew that died over there. I served my country as a perceived obligation for all it has given me and my family. I do not whine and complain about it. I do not brag about it. I just did it. I did not enjoy killing and I am not a hunter. I killed as part of a war. I would hunt to eat, if I had to. I do not have anything against those that hunt as long as they eat what they kill. You are hurting and you are carrying a guilt burden. I have seen that a lot with returning veterans that felt guilty about something they did that made them feel dirty mentally. I did nothing that I am ashamed of. And I have no hate or animosity for the enemy. They were doing the same thing.
But, I would not support a socialist commie due to some perception of wrong doing by our government. I am giving you the benefit of the doubt, ONLY because you claim to be a Vet. I consider a lot of returning Vets, broken. Many were mistreated by our own country when we returned. I try to understand those liberals that seemed too cowardly to serve or even support this great nation. It's hard to do when they do not attempt to convince one of their ideology, just attack and demean anyone that does not agree with them. They have not sacrificed so I do not consider them validly qualified to debate with me. I allow them to disagree, but they have not yet attempted to show where they have a viable solution for this country. Spending a lot of money does not work. Taxing so that they can spend money frivolously is not a good reason. Coddling the lazy is not a good reason. Guilty giving of our resources to those that they feel are inferior to themselves, ie. minorities is not a good reason. I have yet to see a liberal TODAY that has a good argument. Democrats from my father's time, were patriotic and some even conservative. Now, that is gone and the Democrats have morphed into socialists pushing for communism.
But the subject was your whining about trying to get together with liberal Vets. I am sure you will find some. Good luck. This Vet does not "join" clubs and can think on his own, without someone else assisting me. And I do not join for the purpose of drinking myself into oblivion with other Vets while they embellish on their war stories. I love my brothers in arms but I love my family more.
If you have a problem with this administration, then do like I did after 8 years, I tried to make a difference at the election polls. And I did not use my veteran status as an advantage, either.
You've got your free speech. I am sure you can find some BLM Vets that will join your group.
