You make a valid point, but in my opinion for the wrong reasons, and if ever that debate could take place outside it being used as a ploy, I may be open to that.

Not now however.

This entire business is phoney, false patriotism. It is an attempt to rile up people and insure it leans on patriotism...however....

The Tea Party in 2009 and 2012 desecrated our flag terribly, and our President supported it. This did not begin with the NFL.

You will need to take my word, but I was upset about the beginning of this in the pre season. Even though I remember the Olympic Games back a number of years with the raising of fists to protest, and the Tea Party burying our flag, flying it upside down, and in a few cases ceremoniously burying it.

Tea Party was demonstrating the election of OBama and in fact burned him in effigy before he was sworn in the second time.

The flag protest, because of Trump interjecting into this is spreading now to Major League Baseball.

I suggest it is on purpose. He has been quoted as saying he wants to bring social change, and the rest of his "job" bores him.

This from a person who grew up in a Klu Klux Klan family, was and is the single largest violated of housing laws, once paid 10 grand to call some young black teens guilty in the NY paper, for five years promulgated lies about a black president because he was black, and if you wish I can supply much more factual data on his racist background.

There is an objective here....he has made not one move to unite this country, and everything he says is divisive. He attacked the mayor of London, while that mayor was coping with a terrorist attack...he attacked a mayor in Puerto Rico while that mayor was literally wading in water chest high delivering supplies.

So, if you wish to be a part of his undermining of all things American, while telling you he is for America...such as he did with his con of Trump Univ, such as his scheme with a foundation using his name for charity when in actuality he was cleaning money for himself.

Your issue is valid, but not under these conditions.

I am watching our country being torn apart by race, religion and ethnicity. That takes precedence in our White House, down to his entertains people mocking Sen McCain and his handicap which was received defending our country, and serving as a POW, even though our President even mocked that.

Yourpoint is well taken, but what causes your bringing it up is not something I find anything but dirty.

Nobody wants to discuss the Tea Party desecration if our flag, and while I cannot read anyone's heart, it appears to be because they are and were white.

That kind of stuff is about as un American as anyone can get.

Address the issue causing the protest.....stop making the protestors the bad guys because you are tone deaf.
